    Jeff [Hommes at Norwest], I wanted to take a moment to comment on my recent experience working with one of your associates, Mr. Steve Miller. If only all representatives of the banking and real estate industries were as knowledgeable, forthcoming, truly helpful, and all-around pleasant to deal with!  I was steered to Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, and Steve in particular, by the real estate agent handling my recent home sale in Blacksburg.  Needless to say, I was VERY hesitant to work with a national mortgage company; after all, I couldn't exactly run down the street to talk to a "real" person if there was a problem...and all of my personal real estate transactions of the past have included a local bank as the initial mortgage holder. My fears were soon erased in my continued dealings with Steve. He walked me through the process and made sure I fully understood what was going on, carefully informing me of what I needed to do and, more importantly, WHEN I needed to do them. But Steve was the real point man when it came to the bridge loan I was setting up with your sister company, Norwest Direct. Unfortunately, my interaction with them was not as smooth, leading to some confusion and a potential kink in the process. I'm sure I'm no different from dozens of your clients who need a very large sum of money at a very specific time or the whole deal dies in the water. Steve jumped in and salvaged what could have been an unfortunate situation for me! A move is nerve-wracking enough so when it comes to the financing part, I'm much more comfortable when I'm working with an expert. With Steve handling the numbers and the protocol, my comfort level increased rapidly. I  just wanted to let you know that you've got a great representative in him!  I go to closing next week and can feel much more at ease. Keep this guy around!

    We recently refinanced our original Norwest mortgage with the same company. Our application and negotiations were carried out directly with Norwest and without the services of a broker.
    We felt that we should let you know that the lady who handled our matter, Ms. Katherine Butzer, was absolutely fantastic. Not only was she highly competent and knowledgeable, but was also extremely pleasant and attentive. We seldom come across people like her. She always returned our messages promptly, gave us invaluable advice and nothing was too much for her to do or assist with. She understood that we knew very little about the process and helped us through everything.

I wanted to commend the moving team that handled our possessions (including an office in our home) on our move to Atlanta. The driver and his crew were extremely helpful and efficient. I was rather overwhelmed that day, as it was the first time I had moved without the assistance of my husband. Vern was recovering from recent heart surgery and was not able to help me. The movers were very courteous and had a sense of my situation and responded to my requests for assistance and advice. It was a difficult move for me personally, but with their help it became as pleasant as any move could be.

I also appreciated your response to my phone calls and questions before moving day. Also, please let your staff know that "we found the mouse in the little box" so there was no loss, and I was able to complete my computer installation. Thanks Again,

How glad I am to have been connected, through your web site [FiSBO Registry], to United Van Lines (Cowen franchise in Fort Collins, Colorado) for our recent move.  New York City to Chicago, nearly a full semi-trailer load.

22,000 pounds never had it so good.  Tons of glass and china from my wife's job running a tableware store - not a crack.

The packers - for the most delicate items, since we did most packing - were fast and ingenious.  When they finished the planned items and had time left over, they saved our schedule by turning to the audio and video items.

Communication with the franchisee was excellent, with dates actual narrowing naturally as projected dates approached.  And the price came in on the dot, given that we were heavier than estimated.  I've heard similar moves described costing twice as much.
